How do you play your VN?

A good visual novel offers more than one good ending. – But will you ever play more than one of them? I was guessing that most players that play through The Last Secret will stop after finishing one good ending. And if they go for more endings, of course they will mostly stop after having achieved all one-gender endings and the final "true" ending.

Plot twist: turns out that's wrong!

While I can't know this for itch-downloads, I can see that for the Steam players: while around 22,5% play through to a good ending (which is in comparison a decent play-through rate), nearly 80% of those finish all good endings! And there's basically nobody who leaves out one of the genders while finishing the game.

Now I ask you: how's your experience with this? Did you play through all endings in TLS? Or only some? And how about other VNs?

I'm super curious about your replies!

P.S.: Here's an interesting article about the related question of how long a game should be: https://www.vg247.com/josef-fares-sick-obsessing-game-length-replayability

For me if I have time I try to finish all the game to the 100%, if not, I only play until I found one good ending
